The alignment crosses the Saigon River from the southern edge of Thu Thiem (in or adjacent to Functional Area 6) to a landing in District 4. As of mid-2026, Bridge 3 is in advanced design. Construction start is targeted for the late 2020s with completion in the early 2030s.
